《The Origin》は作家が山で撮影した写真を和紙、韓紙、宣紙（中国の紙）といった伝統的な紙にプリントし、それを手作業で切り抜き、貼り合わせることで、平面でありながら立体的で浮遊感を感じさせる作品となっている。
作品の中には異なる時間や場所が混在しており、それらは１つの塊のようにがっちりと固く閉じて見える。それは普遍的な生命（＝種子）の形であり、時間も場所も超越した存在であるといえる。
”The Origin” is a series that conveys a sense of floating within three-dimentional space using only two-dimentional images. Photographs taken by the artist are printed on traditional papers such as washi (Japanese paper), hanji (Korean paper), xuanzhi (Chinese paper), which are then meticulously cut out by hand and then overlaid to form a combined image.
